About the author
Anthea J. Williams is a Sydney-based debut author whose children's fiction bridges cutting-edge technology with timeless storytelling. Drawing from her unique professional background spanning AI development, government relations, and sound artistry, she brings authentic expertise to stories exploring our rapidly evolving digital world.
A natural storyteller who has performed poetry at TEDx and the Sydney Opera House, Anthea's creative journey includes composing for film and TV (including projects with Random House Australia) and supporting Australian artists like Missy Higgins. Her music career took her to the UK, where she worked with members of Portishead and Massive Attack, developing an ear for the soundscapes that now enrich her writing.
The rare combination of creative and technical expertise allows her to explore AI themes with both imaginative depth and real-world understanding.
As both a parent and a technologist, Anthea writes stories that help young readers - and their families -navigate the opportunities and challenges of our AI-integrated future with wisdom, wonder, and hope.
The Crystal Catalyst is Anthea’s debut novel and the first in the five-book series, The Magic of Tomorrow.
